Job summary

Americare Senior Living in Ashland, MO is seeking a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) for the Ashland Villa. This position offers either full-time or part-time evening shifts with pay of $15.50 per hour, focusing on helping residents with daily living activities and maintaining dignity and comfort.

You will document care, communicate with nursing staff, assist with mobility, and support a safe, respectful living environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and BLS certification preferred; training available.

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide compassionate physical and emotional support while preserving resident dignity.
• Monitor resident safety and observe for signs of distress or changes in condition.
• Accurately document resident care, activities, and changes as required.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff and fellow caregivers regarding resident needs.
• Engage residents in activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well‑being.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.
• Support a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and BLS certifications are a plus – training available.

Physical Demands

• Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as needed.
