Job summary

Harborview Health Systems is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to support residents in daily living activities and health monitoring. The role emphasizes dignity, safety, and individualized care within a faith‑based environment.

You will assist with ADLs, document vital signs, help with transfers, and remind residents about meals, while maintaining clean, organized spaces and reporting any changes to nursing staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Completion of an 8-hour preservice training course (5 hours classroom, 3 hours supervised simulation).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and support residents safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, incontinence care).
• Take and document vital signs as directed.
• Turn and reposition residents to prevent skin breakdown.
• Help with transfers and mobility support.
• Escort residents to meals and provide hydration/snacks at designated times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in resident rooms and shared spaces.
• Monitor resident status and report changes to the Nurse or Administrator.
• Make beds.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the nursing team.
