Job summary

Vancrest of Urbana, Inc. is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide compassionate personal care to residents. The role emphasizes timely assistance, observation, and reporting to nursing leadership according to care plans.

Responsibilities include aiding with daily living, ensuring medication needs are met, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. This position requires 18+ and includes background/drug testing; STNA preferred or will be state-tested if needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Read and write English language.
• Pass a background check and drug test.
• STNA not required, but preferred; state testing will occur if not certified.

• Ensuring residents' personal care needs are provided with quality, compassion, and timeliness.
• Delivering nursing care and reporting to charge nurse for medical needs.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant environment.
• Meeting residents' nutritional needs per care plan and reporting to the appropriate director.
• Performing other related activities as assigned or requested.
• Ensuring residents' medication needs are met.

Job responsibilities

• Ensuring that residents' personal care needs are provided for with an emphasis on quality, compassion, and timeliness.
• Ensuring that residents' medical needs are addressed through the delivery of quality nursing care and reporting to charge nurse.
• Maintaining a physical environment in a clean, safe and pleasant manner.
• Ensuring that nutritional needs of residents are met in accordance with established care plan and reporting to appropriate director
• Performing other related activities as assigned or requested.
• Ensuring residents' medication needs are met.

Requirements of PCA

• Move (sit, stand, bend and lift) intermittently throughout the workday.
• Lift, push, pull and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Assist with the evacuation of residents.
• Read/write English language
• Pass a background check and drug test
• STNA not required, but preferred.
• Will state test if not certified.
