Job summary

Vancrest of Urbana, Inc. is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support residents with daily living activities and personal care. The role emphasizes quality, compassion, and timely service for each resident.

Responsibilities include assisting with medical and nursing care, maintaining a safe environment, and ensuring nutritional needs align with care plans while reporting to the director and nurse on duty.

Qualifications

• Move (sit, stand, bend and lift) throughout the shift.
• Lift, push, pull and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Read/write English language.
• Pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring residents' personal care needs are provided for with quality, compassion, and timeliness.
• Deliver quality nursing care and report to the charge nurse for residents' medical needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and pleasant environment.
• Meet residents' nutritional needs per care plan and report to the appropriate director.
• Perform other related activities as assigned.
• Ensure residents' medication needs are met.

• Ensuring that residents' personal care needs are provided for with an emphasis on quality, compassion, and timeliness.
• Ensuring that residents' medical needs are addressed through the delivery of quality nursing care and reporting to charge nurse.
• Maintaining a physical environment in a clean, safe and pleasant manner.
• Ensuring that nutritional needs of residents are met in accordance with established care plan and reporting to appropriate director
• Performing other related activities as assigned or requested.
• Ensuring residents' medication needs are met.

Requirements of PCA

• Move (sit, stand, bend and lift) intermittently throughout the workday.
• Lift, push, pull and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Assist with the evacuation of residents.
• Read/write English language
• Pass a background check and drug test
• STNA not required, but preferred.
• Will state test if not certified.
