Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking a Personal Care Aide (PCA)/Caregiver to support seniors in the Springfield area. The role offers Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem options with morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts to fit your life.

You will work with a 1:1 client ratio, enjoy flexible scheduling, online training with CEUs, weekly pay, PTO, and a 401(k) with company matching after 1 year. Join a nationwide home-care leader delivering compassionate, in-home care.

Qualifications

• PCA, CNA or HHA certification is required.
• Six months of experience in a healthcare role is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and own transportation are required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility is needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors to enable safe at-home living.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meals, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document client condition for supervisor review.
• Ensure a safe home environment and engage clients with activities that bring joy.

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers:

• PCA, CNA or HHA certification
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Valid driver’s license and your own transportation.
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
