Job summary

Interim HealthCare Valley Center, KS seeks a Personal Care Aide (PCA)/Caregiver to support seniors at home. You will provide basic personal care, assist with daily living activities, and help keep clients safe and comfortable in their home environment.

No professional certification is required beyond a high school diploma; six months of healthcare experience is preferred. You will work with 1:1 client ratios, enjoy a flexible schedule, and have access to online training and tuition discounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of healthcare experience preferred.
• Compassionate and helping nature with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, meals).
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document the client’s condition.
• Maintain a safe home environment and report concerns to a supervisor.
• Engage clients in activities that bring joy (games, reading, hobbies).

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
