Job summary

Interim HealthCare of Central Montana is seeking a Home Care Personal Care Assistant (PCA) / Caregiver to support clients in Helena, MT. You will provide essential in-home personal care, assist with daily activities, and help maintain a safe, comfortable home environment.

The role emphasizes compassionate client interaction, reliable transportation, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Six months of caregiving experience and CPR certification are preferred, with a strong focus on safety and

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Six months of caregiving experience in a healthcare role required; one year preferred.
• CPR certification.
• Montana driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation.
• Compassionate and helping nature with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors to help them live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, light housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range-of-motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document client condition for supervisor review.
• Maintain a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways and participate in client activities.

As a Personal Care Assistant / Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Personal Care Assistant / Caregiver:

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Six (6) months of caregiving experience in a healthcare role required, one (1) year preferred
• CPR certification
• Valid Montana driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
