Personal Care Assistant (PCA) – PHC Home Health, Winston‑Salem, NC
Join PHC Home Health to provide compassionate in‑home care to clients who need assistance with daily living activities. The role is part‑time and requires supervision by a registered nurse or licensed therapist.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help with mobility and transfers using a wheelchair or walker.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks (laundry, cleaning).
- Document client care and progress accurately and on time.
- Communicate with office staff, RNs, and family members as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification as a CNA or prior CNA/PCA experience.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must pass a national background check and drug test.
- Ability to lift and move clients as needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Demands
The PCA will lift and move clients and perform tasks such as bending, stooping, and reaching. The job may require standing or walking for extended periods.
Work Environment
The PCA works in clients’ homes and may be exposed to infectious diseases and hazardous materials.
Job Type & Schedule
Part‑Time – Monday to Friday, weekend availability required.
