Personal Home Care of North Carolina is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support clients in their homes or healthcare settings. You will work under supervision of a registered nurse or licensed therapist to deliver daily living assistance and monitor client progress.

Responsibilities include hygiene support, mobility assistance, meal prep, medication reminders, and light housekeeping. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for coordinating with staff and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior PCA experience and/or enrollment in CNA program is preferred.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift/move clients and work with caregivers and families.

A Personal Care Assistant (PCA) is responsible for providing assistance with daily living activities to individuals who are unable to perform these tasks on their own. The PCA will work under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed therapist to provide care to clients in their homes or in a healthcare facility.

Personal Home Care of North Carolina (PHC) is a rapidly growing full-service home care/home health agency looking for energetic and dedicated skilled caregivers that can fulfill the needs of our growing patient population. We are looking for dedicated PCAs to provide excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Help clients with mobility and transfers, including using a wheelchair or walker
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding
• Provide medication reminders
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and cleaning
• Document client care and progress in a timely and accurate manner
• Communicate with office staff, RNs and family members as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior PCA experience and/or currently enrolled in CNA program
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass a national background check and drug test
• Ability to lift and move clients as needed
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

Physical Demands:

The PCA will be required to lift and move clients, as well as perform other physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and reaching. The job may also require standing or walking for extended periods of time.

The PCA will work in clients' homes. The job may require exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous materials.
