Job summary

Wallick Senior Living is seeking a Personal Care Assistant for The Grove at Oakleaf Village in Toledo, OH. This part-time evening position (3pm-11pm) pays $16/hour with shift differential and includes a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Requires CPR certification; Nurse Aide certification is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication skills with residents, families, and coworkers.
• Organized and self-motivated to perform a great job for residents.
• Experience in an Assisted Living or Memory Care community is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.
• Assist with personal hygiene and grooming, including bathing and toileting.
• Respond to call lights promptly and address resident and family needs.
• Encourage resident involvement in activities and community life.
• Assist residents to and from activities, dining room, and other events.
• Assist with lifting, turning, and repositioning as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

Our exceptional PCAsprovide direct resident care and strive to give our residents worth and meaning byhelpingthemthriventally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially as they choose.You will work as part of a team that ensures the residents have a comfortable and safe place to call Home.

• Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.
• Provides physical resident care to include all aspects of personal hygiene and groomingto include bathing and toileting.
• Answers call lights in a timely manner and respond accordingly to the resident’sand / or familyneeds.
• Motivates and encourages resident involvement in the participation in activities.
• Assists residents to and from activities, dining room, and other functions within the community.
• Lifting, turning, and re-positioning residents as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Organizedand self-motivatedto do a great job for our residents
• CPR Certified. Nurse Aide Certification is a plus but not required.
• Effectivecommunication skillsto interact withco-workers, residents, family members and peers.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions
• Previous experience working in an Assisted Living or Memory Care Community is a plus
