Job summary

Wallick Senior Living is seeking a part-time Personal Care Assistant / Caregiver for Oakleaf Village, Toledo, Ohio. The role runs 3pm-11pm with a pay rate of $16/hour plus shift differential. You will provide daily resident care, including hygiene, mobility assistance, and activity support in a resident-focused community.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and strong communication. Prior experience in assisted living or memory care is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Organized and self-motivated to do a great job for our residents.
• CPR Certified. Nurse Aide Certification is a plus but not required.
• Effective communication skills to interact with co-workers, residents, family members and peers.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
• Previous experience working in an Assisted Living or Memory Care Community is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.
• Provides physical resident care to include all aspects of personal hygiene and grooming to include bathing and toileting.
• Answers call lights in a timely manner and respond accordingly to the resident’s and / or family needs.
• Motivates and encourages resident involvement in the participation in activities.
• Assists residents to and from activities, dining room, and other functions within the community.
• Lifting, turning, and re-positioning residents as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do
