Job summary

Wallick Senior Living is hiring a Personal Care Assistant (Caregiver) for a part-time overnight shift in Toledo, Ohio. You will provide direct resident care, assist with daily living activities, and support residents in a safe, respectful environment.

You will work with a collaborative team and have access to benefits and opportunities within a 100% employee-owned company, with a focus on resident-focused care and community well-being.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• Excellent communication with residents, families, and team members.
• Organizational skills and self-motivation to serve residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.
• Assist with personal hygiene and grooming including bathing and toileting.
• Answer call lights promptly and respond to resident and family needs.
• Encourage participation in activities and assist with mobility and transport within the community.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

Our exceptional PCAsprovide direct resident care and strive to give our residents worth and meaning byhelpingthemthrivementally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially as they choose.You will work as part of a team that ensures the residents have a comfortable and safe place to call Home.

• Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.
• Provides physical resident care to include all aspects of personal hygiene and groomingto include bathing and toileting.
• Answers call lights in a timely manner and respond accordingly to the resident’sand / or familyneeds.
• Motivates and encourages resident involvement in the participation in activities.
• Assists residents to and from activities, dining room, and other functions within the community.
• Lifting, turning, and re-positioning residents as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Organizedand self-motivatedto do a great job for our residents
• CPR Certified. Nurse Aide Certification is a plus but not required.
• Effectivecommunication skillsto interact withco-workers, residents, family members and peers.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions
• Previous experience working in an Assisted Living or Memory Care Community is a plus
