Job summary

Wallick Senior Living in Toledo, OH is seeking a Personal Care Assistant/Caregiver for The Grove at Oakleaf Village. This full-time role runs 7am-3pm with a pay rate of $16/hour plus shift differential and a strong benefits package.

You will provide daily resident care, assist with hygiene, respond to calls, encourage activity, and support mobility in a compassionate, resident-focused environment. Join a company with employee ownership and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required or preferred.
• Nurse Aide certification is a plus but not required.
• Excellent communication with residents, families, and team.
• Organized and self-motivated to deliver great care.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional personal care and daily assistance to residents.
• Assist with personal hygiene, bathing, and toileting.
• Respond promptly to call lights and family needs.
• Motivate residents to participate in activities.
• Assist residents to and from activities, dining, and events.
• Support safe patient handling and repositioning as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.
• Provides physical resident care to include all aspects of personal hygiene and groomingto include bathing and toileting.
• Answers call lights in a timely manner and respond accordingly to the resident's and / or family needs.
• Motivates and encourages resident involvement in the participation in activities.
• Assists residents to and from activities, dining room, and other functions within the community.
• Lifting, turning, and re-positioning residents as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Organizedand self-motivatedto do a great job for our residents
• CPR Certified. Nurse Aide Certification is a plus but not required.
• Effectivecommunication skillsto interact withco-workers, residents, family members and peers.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions
• Previous experience working in an Assisted Living or Memory Care Community is a plus
