Job summary

Wallick Communities is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) / caregiver for The Grove at Oakleaf Village in Toledo, Ohio. This part-time role covers 3pm-11pm shifts, offering $16/hour with shift differential and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will support residents with daily living activities, health, and well-being in a supportive community. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required; Nurse Aide certification a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
• Experience in assisted living a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care and support daily activities.
• Assist residents with personal hygiene and grooming.
• Respond to call lights promptly and assist as needed.
• Encourage resident participation in activities.
• Assist residents to/from activities, dining, and events.
• Assist with lifting, turning, and repositioning as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

Our exceptional PCAsprovide direct resident care and strive to give our residents worth and meaning byhelpingthem thrive mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially as they choose.You will work as part of a team that ensures the residents have a comfortable and safe place to call Home.

• Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.
• Provides physical resident care to include all aspects of personal hygiene and groomingto include bathing and toileting.
• Answers call lights in a timely manner and respond accordingly to the resident’sand / or familyneeds.
• Motivates and encourages resident involvement in the participation in activities.
• Assists residents to and from activities, dining room, and other functions within the community.
• Lifting, turning, and re-positioning residents as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Organizedand self-motivatedto do a great job for our residents
• CPR Certified. Nurse Aide Certification is a plus but not required.
• Effectivecommunication skills to interact withco-workers, residents, family members and peers.ag
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions
• Previous experience working in an Assisted Living or Memory Care Community is a plus
