Job summary

Wallick Senior Living in Toledo, OH is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to provide direct care and support residents in daily activities. You will work as part of a team to promote residents' comfort, safety, and well-being in a warm, supportive environment.

The position offers full-time hours (7am-3pm) with a pay rate of $16/hour plus shift differential, plus a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth within an employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required.
• Nurse Aide certification a plus but not required.
• Experience in Assisted Living/Memory Care a plus.
• Good communication with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily assistance to residents.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, and toileting as needed.
• Respond to call lights promptly and address needs of residents/family.
• Encourage resident involvement in activities and programs.
• Assist residents to/from activities and meals within the community.
• Assist with mobility including lifting or repositioning as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

Our exceptional PCAsprovide direct resident care and strive to give our residents worth and meaning byhelpingthem thrive mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially as they choose.You will work as part of a team that ensures the residents have a comfortable and safe place to call Home.

• Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.
• Provides physical resident care to include all aspects of personal hygiene and grooming to include bathing and toileting.
• Answers call lights in a timely manner and respond accordingly to the resident's and / or family needs.
• Motivates and encourages resident involvement in the participation in activities.
• Assists residents to and from activities, dining room, and other functions within the community.
• Lifting, turning, and re-positioning residents as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Organized and self-motivated to do a great job for our residents
• CPR Certified. Nurse Aide Certification is a plus but not required.
• Effective communication skills to interact with co-workers, residents, family members and peers.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions
• Previous experience working in an Assisted Living or Memory Care Community is a plus
