Job summary

Wallick Communities is seeking a Personal Care Assistant / Caregiver for The Grove at Oakleaf Village in Toledo, Ohio. This part-time role covers the night shift from 11pm to 7am, with a pay rate of $16/hour plus shift differential.

You will work with a team to provide compassionate resident care in a supportive community. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification (Nurse Aide certification is a plus), and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required or preferred.
• Nurse Aide Certification is a plus but not required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional personal care to residents.
• Assist with personal hygiene and grooming.
• Respond to call lights promptly and address resident needs.
• Encourage resident involvement in activities and events.
• Assist residents to and from activities, dining, and other areas.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

Our exceptional PCAsprovide direct resident care and strive to give our residents worth and meaning byhelpingthem thrive mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially as they choose.You will work as part of a team that ensures the residents have a comfortable and safe place to call Home.

• Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.
• Provides physical resident care to include all aspects of personal hygiene and groomingto include bathing and toileting.
• Answers call lights in a timely manner and respond accordingly to the resident’sand / or familyneeds.
• Motivates and encourages resident involvement in the participation in activities.
• Assists residents to and from activities, dining room, and other functions within the community.
• Lifting, turning, and re-positioning residents as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Organizedand self-motivatedto do a great job for our residents
• CPR Certified. Nurse Aide Certification is a plus but not required.
• Effective communication skills to interact with co-workers, residents, family members and peers.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions
• Previous experience working in an Assisted Living or Memory Care Community is a plus
