Job summary

Positive Employment is recruiting a Personal Carer for a private care client based in London. The role requires compassionate, patient care to an elderly individual, assisting with daily routines and general wellbeing while upholding dignity and comfort.

This permanent position offers Monday to Friday work with three visits per day: 08:00-09:00, 12:00-13:00 and 17:00-18:00. DBS check and NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care are preferred; Punjabi language skills are highly desirable.

Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Personal Carer for our client, a private care business based in London.

The successful post holder will provide compassionate and reliable care to an elderly individual, assisting with personal care, daily routines and general wellbeing. The role requires someone who is patient, respectful and committed to maintaining the individual's dignity, independence and comfort.

This role is a permanent position, working Monday to Friday with three visits per day.

Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:

• Provide compassionate and person-centred care to an elderly individual.
• Assist with personal hygiene, including washing, cleaning and dressing as required.
• Support the individual with their daily routines and personal needs.
• Promote dignity, privacy, independence and choice at all times.
• Provide appropriate assistance and reassurance throughout each visit.
• Monitor the individual's general wellbeing and report any concerns appropriately.
• Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment.
• Follow agreed care plans, procedures and instructions.
• Maintain appropriate confidentiality and respect the individual's privacy.
• Communicate effectively with the individual, family members and relevant care professionals where required.
• Follow appropriate health and safety, safeguarding and infection‑control procedures.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties consistent with the role.

Personal Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a care or personal carer role.
• An Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Relevant care qualification, such as NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• A caring, patient and compassionate approach.
• Ability to treat the individual with dignity, respect and sensitivity.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and reliably.
• Good understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and personal care requirements.
• Ability to speak Punjabi is highly desirable.
• First Aid certificate is desirable.
• Manual Handling certificate is desirable.
• Reliable and punctual, with the ability to attend all scheduled visits.
• Commitment to providing consistent, high-quality care.

Working Hours:

5 days per week, Monday to Friday — 3 visits per day:

• 08:00 – 09:00
• 12:00 – 13:00
• 17:00 – 18:00

Pay:

£12.00 – £14.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
