As a Personal Care Aide (PCA), you will provide essential personal care services to clients on the beautiful Westminster-Canterbury campus (on the Chesapeake Bay) and in the greater Hampton Roads community.

What You’ll Do In This Role

• Bathing and grooming
• Assistance with daily living activities
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Medication reminders
• Accompanying clients to appointmentsAll other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Being on your feet for extended periods, without tiring quickly
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift, push, pull and reposition clients
• Using hands and fingers to grasp, move, or maneuver small objects (during grooming or feeding)

Required

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
• Willingness to drive to private homes in the Virginia Beach area
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Flu-Vaccinated

Preferred

• One year of supervised nursing assistant experience, and any of the following:
• One year of nursing school
• PCA Certificate
• CNA School Diploma
• CNA License
• Nursing License (LPN or RN)
• COVID-19 Vaccinated. As of now, the 2025–2026 COVID-19 vaccine formulation is being distributed to providers and pharmacies; however, it has not yet received official approval from the CDC. In Virginia, pharmacists may administer COVID-19 vaccines under the Virginia Board of Pharmacy’s statewide protocols or with a direct order from a licensed medical provider. We encourage all new hires to consult with their healthcare provider regarding the most current vaccination recommendations.
