Job summary

Can I Help You Services Home Health is seeking compassionate Personal Care Aides (PCAs) to deliver in-home care for clients in Virginia. You will assist with daily living activities, hygiene, meals, mobility, and transportation to appointments, while maintaining dignity and independence for each client.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, care plan adherence, and collaboration with a supportive team in a home-based setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of caregiving experience.
• PCA Certificate, CNA license, or equivalent caregiving experience.
• Compassionate, dependable, and professional.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to lift, transfer, bend, and assist clients safely.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Assist with toileting and incontinence care.
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and linen changes.
• Provide medication reminders (no administration).
• Accompany clients to appointments and community activities.
• Monitor and report changes in the client's condition.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation and care notes.
• Follow each client's care plan.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Provide companionship while promoting dignity and independence.
• Follow all agency policies and state regulations.

Position Summary

Can I Help You Services is seeking compassionate, dependable, and professional Personal Care Aides (PCAs) to provide quality in-home care to individuals who need assistance with daily living activities. Our caregivers play a vital role in helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes while treating every individual with dignity, respect, and compassion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.


• Provide assistance with toileting and incontinence care.


• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility.


• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when needed.


• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and linen changes.


• Provide medication reminders (no medication administration).


• Accompany clients to appointments and community activities as authorized.


• Monitor and report changes in the client's condition.


• Maintain accurate daily documentation and care notes.


• Follow each client's individualized care plan.


• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.


• Provide companionship while promoting dignity, independence, and well-being.


• Follow all agency policies, procedures, and state regulations.
