Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking Personal Care Aides (PCAs) to provide in-home care in the Brookings, SD area. PCAs assist clients of all ages with daily activities, hygiene, grooming and companionship in the client’s home, with shifts available across DAYS, EVES and NOC. You may have shifts as short as one hour and will be paid weekly.

The role offers a pay rate of $18 per hour, PRN/part-time options, 24/7 on-call staff support, and opportunities for continuing education credits.

Qualifications

• Six months' experience in home care or similar setting.
• Age 18+ required.
• CPR preferred, but not required.
• Two professional references required.
• Valid Driver's License and current car insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities in the home.
• Support hygiene, grooming, toileting, and comfort needs.

• Personal Care Aide (PCA) shift options of DAYS / EVES / NOC with some shifts as short as one hour
• 24/7 contact with on-call staff member within Interim HealthCare
• Free Continued Education Credits

Personal Care Aide (PCA) job duties may include:

• Personal Care Aides (PCAs) may assist with daily activities for clients of all ages in the client's home
• Assist clients with hygiene, grooming and comfort needs, i.e., toileting, bathing, companionship
• Personal Care Aides (PCAs) assist with shopping, meal preparation, light housekeeping and companionship

Personal Care Aide (PCA) qualifications:

• Six months' experience in a comparable job classification, current CNA certification or completed first semester of nursing school
• Must be 18 years of age
• CPR preferred, but not required
• 2 professional references required
• Valid Driver's License and current car insurance
