Job summary

KeyBank is seeking a Personal Banker to be a problem solver, trusted advisor, and partner to people and businesses in our communities. The role engages clients in deeper conversations to uncover needs and provide guidance to support their financial wellness, both in person and via proactive calling.

As part of the branch team, you will attract new clients, deepen relationships with existing clients, and work toward client confidence in their finances.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience developing customer relationships and achieving sales goals.
• Understanding of consumer credit and debt-to-income ratios.
• Foundational knowledge of sales and service techniques including tele-consulting, outside calling, prospecting and networking.
• Comfortable interacting with small business clients and asking fact-finding questions to help.
• Demonstrated experience influencing partners and centers of influence.
• Working knowledge of PCs and digital banking platforms and ability to educate clients on digital capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Embodies a strong client experience culture and is present with every client and teammate.
• Listen for financial wellness opportunities during conversations and provide tailored recommendations.
• Open personal and business accounts and related deposit products.
• Develop partnerships with branch teammates and partners to grow client relationships.
• Ensure compliance with operational, risk, security and audit procedures and proper documentation.
• Support branch operations including client transactions on the Teller line as needed.
• Attend and participate in morning huddles and end-of-day debriefs.
• Work on Saturdays as directed by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned and adapt to changes as needed.
• Adhere to KeyBank policies and act professionally at all times.
