Job summary

Ameris Bank is seeking a Teller and Personal Banker to support customers with daily banking needs, open and service accounts, and identify opportunities for cross-selling. You will balance cash, handle complex transactions, and provide education to clients while contributing to branch growth.

The role emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and delivering financial peace of mind to customers in a high-volume environment. Prior cash handling and customer service experience are valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service experience required.
• 1+ years of cash handling or retail banking experience required.
• Cross selling experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Teller and Personal Banker to support customer and team needs.
• Open new accounts and service existing accounts.
• Conduct customer financial profiles and cross-sell banking products.
• Balance cash drawer, handle cash discrepancies, and perform teller functions.
• Educate customers and resolve issues to improve loyalty and branch performance.
• Meet sales and service goals and support branch growth and customer experience.
