Job summary

American1cu is seeking a Personal Banker/Member Service Specialist to provide excellent member experiences through a broad range of credit union transactions. You will open new memberships, manage lending processes, and assist with accounts while maintaining accurate records and adhering to policies.

The position is on-site at the Robinson Rd Branch in Jackson, MI. Wage starts at 21.13 per hour with benefits starting on day one and background screens required for employment offers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior customer service and sales experience.
• Credit union or banking experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of PC applications such as Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently or as a collaborative team member.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent member experience through a wide range of credit union transactions including opening new memberships, lending, and more.
• Open new bank accounts such as checking, savings, and IRAs.
• Assist with lending needs: analyze loan requests, process documentation, close and fund loans, and follow up with members.
• Ensure accurate records and compliance with credit union policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with branch team to achieve goals and maintain superior member experience.
