Job summary

The Personal Banker position at First American Bank is a mid-level role within the Retail Banking Department. This non-exempt (hourly) role services the branch and provides professional customer service across both Teller and Banker functions.

Qualifications

High School degree or equivalent required.
College degree in business or related field a plus.
Must be able to take loan applications and close loans.
Experience in personal banking, customer service, or sales preferred.
Ability to handle cash transactions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Build and retain relationships with customers by identifying needs and presenting banking products.
Assist with opening and closing deposit accounts (consumer, business, IRAs).
Process teller transactions and cash handling tasks.
Promote bank services through outreach and community events.
Ensure compliance and risk controls in daily activity.
Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues efficiently.
