Job summary

First American Bank is seeking a Personal Banker to support branch operations, deliver excellent customer service, and drive product sales. The role combines teller responsibilities with needs-based sales, requiring accurate cash handling and knowledge of personal banking products.

The position is non-exempt (hourly) and involves serving customers in-branch, handling deposits, loans, and online banking education, with occasional travel between locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• College degree in business or related field a plus.
• Extensive training and development provided to prepare for the role.
• Experience taking loan applications and closing loans preferred.
• NMLS registration may be required.
• Minimum one year of personal banking, customer service, or sales experience required.
• Proficient in handling cash transactions and US currency.

Responsibilities

• Build and retain relationships by identifying customer needs and educating them about First American Bank products.
• Prepare and deliver tailored sales presentations.
• Assist customers in selecting banking products and services, take loan applications, close loans, and refer mortgages to partners.
• Promote bank products with Business Banking, Wealth Management, and Treasury Management.
• Participate in community events and outbound calls to increase market presence.
• Provide teller services and maintain accurate cash handling and transaction records.
• Ensure high-quality customer service and resolve issues promptly.
• Adhere to bank policies and branch opening/closing procedures.
