A PB II is also responsible for opening new accounts, completing loan applications, and responding to customer inquiries and requests while identifying opportunities to expand current banking relationships. Description

Position Purpose: A Personal Banker II (PB II) is responsible for maintaining and building customer relationships by providing an exceptional customer experience. A PB II is also responsible for opening new accounts, completing loan applications, and responding to customer inquiries and requests while identifying opportunities to expand current banking relationships. The PB II demonstrates Civista Bank’s mission to improve the financial lives of our employees and shareholders, to make a difference in the communities that we serve.

Key Accountabilities, Responsibilities And Expectations

  • Engage daily with customers to build relationships, process transactions, assess needs, recommend products, and refer partners to create an exceptional customer experience.
  • Adhere to regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure the safety and soundness of customers and the bank.
  • Develop extensive knowledge of products and services to meet customer needs, drive sales, open accounts, perform maintenance, meet cross-sell goals, and solve problems efficiently.
  • Understand all aspects of consumer lending and new accounts; build customer trust and manage relationships throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Commit to personal growth through active learning and adapt to new procedures and systems.
  • Ensure operational tasks are completed daily.
  • Maintain cash levels and outages within guidelines.
  • Communicate consistently and effectively internally and externally.
  • Promote and teach the use of banking technology, including mobile banking, P2P, and online banking.

Requirements

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • 3-5 years of teller experience required.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and written skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines amidst interruptions.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient with technology and adaptable to new software.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and handle interruptions.

Physical Requirements

  • Work involves eye strain from computer use and reading reports.
  • Ability to concentrate in sometimes distracting environments.
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to read, hear, write, and communicate professionally in person and via phone.
  • Some travel for meetings and training.
