Job summary

WaFd Bank is hiring a Personal Banker to win new business and deepen consumer deposit and loan relationships while delivering exceptional customer service. You will open accounts, discuss loans, and onboard clients in a consultative, relationship-driven approach.

This role emphasizes digital self-service guidance, branch teamwork, and ongoing development of foundational banking skills and WaFd system knowledge, with opportunities for certifications and advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or approved equivalent.
• Business related college classes or degree preferred.
• Proficient with math, 10-key and keyboarding; MS Office (Excel/Word/Teams/PowerBI/Outlook).
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills; adept with digital channels.

Responsibilities

• Build knowledge of WaFd bank products to develop new deposit and loan relationships.
• Assist clients with banking needs; open accounts, discuss loans, and onboard clients.
• Make out-of-office calls and visits to businesses and referral sources; promote digital/self-service options.
• Contribute to strategies to expand small business and consumer client base.
• Communicate clearly with staff and clients via verbal, phone, and video chat.
• Act as concierge or greeter to clients and visitors as needed.
• Develop skills and certifications to support branch performance goals.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction through exceptional service.
• Support WaFd initiatives and assignments with a proactive attitude.
