Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of work experience in retail or customer service preferred.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must pass background investigation.
• Ability to get along with co-workers and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service, involving receipt and payment of cash in a high-volume sales environment.
• Evaluate customer relationships and recommend bank products and services.
• Follow established policies in accordance with bank and supervisor guidance.
• Achieve monthly new account production as assigned by management.
• Participate in an active sales environment, including in-store prospecting.
• Process deposits and payouts, record transactions, and balance daily operations.
• Receive cash and checks for deposit, verify amounts and endorsements.
• Examine cash to guard against counterfeit checks and identification.
• Enter transactions into computer and issue customer receipts.
• Sell and prepare money orders, cashier's checks, wires, and CDs.
• Process Western Union wires and cash advances.
• Cross-sell bank services and products.
• Provide services to a diverse customer base, including a large Spanish-speaking population.
• Perform other tasks requested by supervisors related to the bank's functions.
• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
