Job summary

First Community Bancshares, Inc. seeks a Teller to join our Texas retail banking team. Under direct supervision, you will handle cash receipts and payments in a high-volume branch, building customer relationships and promoting bank products to support financial success.

The ideal candidate is 18+, with a high school diploma or GED, and flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. A background check is required, and teamwork is essential in our diverse community branches.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED or currently attending high school.
• Preferred: six months of work experience in a retail or customer service environment.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must successfully pass background investigation according to company policy.
• Must be able to get along with co-workers and work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, provide exceptional customer service, involving receipt and payment of cash, in a high-volume sales environment.
• Evaluate customer relationships and recommend bank products and services to support financial success.
• Follow established policies in accordance with bank and supervisor directions.
• Be accountable for monthly new account production as assigned by upper management.
• Participate in an active sales environment that may require in-store aisle prospecting.
• Process deposits and pay out funds, balance each day’s operations.
