Job summary

First Convenience Bank seeks a Frontline Teller in Floresville, TX to deliver exceptional customer service and handle cash in a busy branch. You will process deposits, withdrawals, and cross-sell services to a diverse customer base, including Spanish-speaking clients.

Under supervision, youll support daily operations, ensure accuracy, and maintain adherence to bank policies, while demonstrating reliability and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass background investigation according to company policy.
• Must work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, provide exceptional customer service, involving receipt and payment of cash, in a high-volume sales environment.
• Evaluate new and existing customer relationships and recommend bank products and services to support their financial success.
• Follow established policies in accordance with the bank and supervisor's direction.
• Accountable for personal achievement of monthly new account production as assigned by upper management.
• Participate in an active sales environment that may require in-store aisle prospecting.
• Process deposits and pay out funds, record transactions, and balance daily operations.
• Receive cash and checks for deposit, verify amounts, and check endorsements.
• Examine cash to guard against counterfeit checks and improper identifications.
• Enter transactions into computer and issue receipts.
• Sell and prepare money orders, cashier's checks, wires, and CDs.
• Process Western Union wires and cash advances.
• Cross-sell bank services and products.
• Provide bank services to a diverse customer base, including a large Spanish-speaking population.
• Perform other tasks requested by supervisors related to bank functions.
• Regular and punctual attendance and adherence to approvals.

• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
• Approval limits will be based upon established authority levels

Environmental and Physical Requirements

• Required to stand or walk for extended periods of time dependent upon branch location
• Ability to work in a high volume, stressful and noisy environment
• Schedules are prepared based on business need and subject to change at any time
• Operate a computer and other office machinery
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
