Job summary

Salus Homecare - Orange County is seeking experienced personal attendants to aid elderly clients and improve their quality of life. Flex shifts include 4, 8, or 12 hours, with responsibilities spanning ADLs, personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, and transportation to appointments.

Qualified applicants should hold a CA HCA certification (or be prepared to obtain it with Salus assistance), complete a TB test within 90 days, and have legal work authorization in the USA.

Qualifications

• CA State Homecare Aide Certification (HCA) required; Salus can assist with the process if not certified.
• TB Test must be completed within 90 days of start date.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the USA.
• Physically capable of performing all job functions.
• Safe driving record and valid auto insurance if driving clients.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Bathing, grooming, personal care, meal prep, toileting, ambulation, medication reminders, social interaction, and more.
• Be oriented and well trained on all aspects of the client’s Plan of Care.
• Meal preparation and cooking.
• Light housekeeping (vacuuming, sweeping, changing linens, laundry, etc.).
• Drive clients to and from medical appointments, grocery store, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's)

• Bathing, grooming, personal care, feeding / meal prep, toileting ambulation, medication reminders, social interaction, and more!

• Be oriented and well trained on ALL aspects of the client’s Plan of Care

• Meal Prep and cooking

• Assist clients with LIGHT housekeeping (vacuuming, sweeping, changing linens, laundry, etc).

• Drive clients to and from medical appointments, grocery store, etc

Qualifications:

• Homecare Aide Certification (HCA)- This is a CA State requirement which involves registering as a Personal Attendant and providing Livescan fingerprints for a FBI Background check - Salus can help you with this process if you are not currently certified.
• TB Test- Must be within 90 days of start
• Must be able to legally work within the USA
• Physical capability to preform all job functions
• Safe driving record and valid auto insurance if you will be driving with clients
• Ability to speak, write, and read English is a requirement
