Job summary

QSL Management is seeking a Personal Assistant for The Barclay House of Baton Rouge to support assisted living residents with companionship and daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding. This role focuses on promoting wellness and engagement in a resort-style environment.

You will report changes in residents' health, assist with memory and performance activities, help with light housekeeping and dining, and work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• CNA certification preferred but not required unless state requirement.
• CPR/First Aid preferred.
• Flexible and able to work weekends and holidays.
• Experience with older adults preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, etc.).
• Report health and status changes and complete daily data sheets.
• Assist residents with memory and performance improvement activities.
• Light housekeeping and laundry as needed.
• Assist with dining and keep residents engaged and happy.

We are currently looking for a Personal Assistant for The Barclay House of Baton Rouge

Primary Responsibilities of the Personal Assistant:

• Supports our assisted living and memory care residents by providing companionship, supportive listening and activities of daily living, i.e. bathing, dressing, feeding, etc.
• Reporting changes in the health and status of the resident and completing daily data sheets to record progress.
• Assists residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Assists with dining as needed or directed by leadership team.
• Assists with activities to keep residents engaged and happy.

Requirements

• Must have a caring heart and willingness to serve others
• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred but not required unless state requirement
