Job summary

QSL Management is seeking a Personal Assistant for The Barclay House in Baton Rouge to support residents with daily living activities, companionship, and wellness programs.

The role requires compassion, teamwork, and a willingness to serve older adults, with flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. CNA certification is preferred but not mandatory depending on state requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current CNA certification preferred but not required unless state rule dictates.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays.
• Experience working with older adults preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and support with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding).
• Report changes in health/status and complete daily progress sheets.
• Assist residents with memory and performance improvement activities.
• Light housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Assist with dining and activities to keep residents engaged and happy.

We are currently looking for a Personal Assistant for The Barclay House of Baton Rouge

Primary Responsibilities of the Personal Assistant:

• Supports our assisted living and memory care residents by providing companionship, supportive listening and activities of daily living, i.e. bathing, dressing, feeding, etc.
• Reporting changes in the health and status of the resident and completing daily data sheets to record progress.
• Assists residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Assists with dining as needed or directed by leadership team.
• Assists with activities to keep residents engaged and happy.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred but not required unless state requirement
