Job summary

QSL Management is seeking a Personal Assistant for The Blake at Lafayette to support residents in an assisted living setting. The role covers companionship, daily living activities, and light housekeeping on the 2pm-10pm shift. A caring, flexible team player is essential to promote wellness and engagement for older adults.

Prior CNA certification is preferred but not required if state rules allow. CPR/First Aid is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• CNA preferred but not required depending on state rules.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and support to residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed.
• Report health changes and document progress.
• Handle light housekeeping and laundry.

We are currently looking for a Personal Assistant for The Blake at Lafayette

Primary Responsibilities of the Personal Assistant:

• Supports our assisted living and memory care residents by providing companionship, supportive listening and activities of daily living, i.e. bathing, dressing, feeding, etc.
• Reporting changes in the health and status of the resident and completing daily data sheets to record progress.
• Assists residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Assists with dining as needed or directed by leadership team.
• Assists with activities to keep residents engaged and happy.

Requirements

• Must have a caring heart and willingness to serve others
• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred but not required unless state requirement
• CPR/First Aid, preferred
• Must be flexible and prepared to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
• Experience working with older adults preferred
