Job summary

The Blake at Lafayette is seeking a Personal Assistant for the overnight shift to support residents in an assisted living and memory care setting. The role focuses on companionship and activities of daily living from 10pm to 6am.

You will assist with health reporting, memory and engagement activities, light housekeeping, and dining support. CNA certification is preferred but not required depending on state; weekend/holiday availability is needed.

Qualifications

• Caring heart and willingness to serve others.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CNA certification preferred but not required depending on state.
• CPR/First Aid preferred.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
• Elder care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a Personal Assistant for The Blake at Lafayette

Primary Responsibilities of the Personal Assistant:

• Supports our assisted living and memory care residents by providing companionship, supportive listening and activities of daily living, i.e. bathing, dressing, feeding, etc.
• Reporting changes in the health and status of the resident and completing daily data sheets to record progress.
• Assists residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Assists with dining as needed or directed by leadership team.
• Assists with activities to keep residents engaged and happy.

Requirements

• Must have a caring heart and willingness to serve others
• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred but not required unless state requirement
• CPR/First Aid, preferred
• Must be flexible and prepared to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
• Experience working with older adults preferred
