Job summary

RiverTech, an Akima company, is seeking a dedicated Personnel Security Assistant to support the Joint Staff Security Office in managing and maintaining compliance with Federal, DoD, and organizational security policies at the Pentagon. You will assist with processing security clearances and maintaining accurate records, with emphasis on PERSEC procedures and customer support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a respective field of expertise.
• TS Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Must possess a working knowledge of the U.S. Government Personnel Security Programs and skills to meet mission requirements.
• Excellent written and oral communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain personnel security files in accordance with retention policies and accurate records.
• Support enforcement of PERSEC policies across Federal, DoD, and organizational requirements.
• Process packages for inbound personnel; initiate/complete eApp background investigations; prepare personnel files.
• Process visit requests, clearance validation notifications, and transfer-in-status requests; update forms and databases.
• Process forms for access to classified spaces and courier badges.
• Initiate, review, and track clearance applications; support Continuous Vetting and adjudications as required.
• Provide customer support via email, in-person, and telephone for PERSEC matters.
• Handle in-processing/out-processing, building/room access, and foreign contact/travel reporting.
• This position is on-site at The Pentagon.
