Job summary

Lightpath seeks a Manager, Permit Coordination to lead permitting activities for fiber network construction in Arizona. You will partner with Engineering Vendors and project teams to submit designs to municipalities, manage the end-to-end process, and ensure regulatory compliance to minimize delays.

The role requires coordinating with municipalities, utility owners, transportation agencies, and construction teams to support on-time deployment of fiber infrastructure.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent 5+ years in permitting or similar field.
• Detail oriented with ability to multitask in fast-paced environments.
• Strong understanding of ROW permitting for underground utilities.
• Experience with municipal, county, state, and transportation agencies.
• Proficiency with permitting databases and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all permit applications, approvals, and closeout activities for construction projects.
• Develop and execute permitting strategies to support construction schedules and project milestones.
• Coordinate permit submissions with local municipalities, counties, state agencies, transportation departments, and utility authorities.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations governing underground utility construction.
• Track permit statuses, approval timelines, and permit conditions to keep projects on schedule.
• Maintain accurate permitting records, documentation, and reporting systems.
• Attend agency meetings and provide permitting status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
