Job summary

Mecklenburg County Government, through LUESA, seeks an Inspection Coordinator to support Residential Permitting and Inspections. This non-exempt, hourly role involves advanced administrative tasks under minimal supervision and collaboration with inspectors and staff.

You will handle scheduling, respond to calls, manage emails, update checklists, and triage customer needs to ensure smooth permitting and inspections.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of administrative experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required with combination of relevant education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspection scheduling as needed.
• Support inspection itinerary changes.
• Handle customer calls from contractors, homeowners, inspectors and supervisors via a call center line and direct phoneline.
• Monitor shared email boxes within team.
• Keep team inspector checklists updated and distribute to other Code Enforcement Teams.
