Manage and supervise, administrative of code enforcement function of the team to effectively and efficiently enforce all applicable codes. Works with staff and professional designer community working / handling more complex consultations, investigations, evaluations and planning, and/or determination of life safety impacts of work processes. This Manager position is responsible for serving as a leader and is responsible for project management oversight, delegation, the review of environmental, infrastructure and implementation of projects/plans according to codes and regulations.
Experience: Minimum of six years of code related experience and/or seven years in the design or construction industry including one year of supervisory experience or completion of an approved supervisory training program
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering. Combination of relevant education and relevant experience accepted?: Yes
Professional Engineer or Architecture
Knowledge of
Management principles
Applicable Federal, State, and local laws, rules, regulations, codes, and/or statutes
Advanced code enforcement principles and practices
Public relations principles
Code enforcement operations, services, and activities
Budgeting principles and practices
Proficient in various computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite
Works in outdoor exposed to weather conditions
