Job summary

SAFEbuilt is seeking a Customer Service Administrative Professional in Chambersburg, PA to interface with customers, manage building department needs, and track permits through the full cycle. The role emphasizes organized data handling, coordination with plans examiners and inspectors, and independent judgment on varied duties.

Qualifications include 2+ years in admin/customer service, MS Office proficiency, and knowledge of permitting processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of administrative/customer service experience.
• Building/construction knowledge preferred.
• Permitting and/or municipal experience is a plus.
• ICC Permit Technician Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interfacing with all customers to service their building department related needs.
• Issuing and/or tracking permits through the permitting process, beginning with application acceptance, plan review, inspections and permit closure.
• Establishing and maintaining systems to ensure that all files, letters, reference manuals, field inspection reports, permit files, blueprints, drawings, and other data or material is maintained in an organized fashion.
• Working with plans examiners and inspectors throughout the company to develop and ensure consistent processes.
• Perform a variety of duties requiring use of independent judgment and technical knowledge.
