Job summary

FALL CREEK FARM & NURSERY is seeking a Permitting Coordinator in North Carolina to assist in obtaining permits, maintain records, and coordinate with internal teams to submit applications on time.

You will monitor progress, communicate with government agencies, and research local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance while supporting project schedules and stakeholder presentations.

Qualifications

  • Candidate should have basic understanding of permitting processes or related regulatory steps.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities are required.
  • A degree in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in obtaining necessary permits and licenses for projects.
  • Maintain and organize permitting records, documentation, and databases.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure permit applications are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Track permit progress and update project teams on status.
  • Communicate with government agencies to clarify requirements and timelines.
  • Research local, state, and federal permitting regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Support resolution of minor permitting issues or discrepancies.
  • Prepare reports and summaries on permit approvals, expirations, and renewals.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and documentation for stakeholder meetings.
  • Work closely with project managers to align permitting activities with schedules.

What you’ll do

What you’ll need
  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or up to two years of basic understanding of permitting processes
  • Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to organize work and follow up on outstanding issues
