Job summary

Evergy's Topeka General Office is seeking a Permitting and Compliance Analyst to secure and maintain permits for routing, construction and maintenance of transmission or distribution lines, and to support permitting for new or expanding substations.

The role works closely with federal, state and local agencies, develops SWPPP plans, provides oversight of the SWPPP process, renews, monitors and closes out SWPPPs, and handles additional permit types described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Experience in Right of Way permitting.
• Understanding of environmental protection regulations.
• Ability to assess, mitigate and avoid environmental impact.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and maintain permits for routing, construction and maintenance of transmission or distribution lines.
• Develop SWPPP plans and provide oversight of the SWPPP process.
• Renew, monitor and close out SWPPPs and manage other permits listed in the posting.
