Job summary

Pierce County's Development Services is seeking a project and process leader to coordinate permitting workflows, track review timelines, forecast demand, and collaborate with internal teams. You will use Power BI, Power Query, and Workday to inform decisions and improve performance, ensuring consistent, high-quality permit outcomes.

You will contribute to data-driven decisions, identify risks, and implement workflow improvements with strong leadership and cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Four years of project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, data analytics, project management or a related field.
• A resume and cover letter are required for this position.
• Background check authorization is required.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Department and County at a variety of meetings and hearings.
• Collaborate with divisions and outside agencies on projects and program development.
• Facilitate planning committee meetings and public hearings/forums as appropriate.
• Participate in local and statewide workgroups on planning and policy development.
• Lead department-wide strategic plans, performance and accountability assessments.
• Provide leadership in department reporting and performance measures.
• Prepare or oversee sensitive and complex special studies and reports.
• Coordinate and streamline office workflows and process improvements.
