Job summary

Marathon Staffing Group is seeking a Permits Technician II in East Mesa, AZ. The role is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week temporary assignment lasting 6-12 months, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, and short-term disability.

You will review and process permit applications, provide technical assistance, and ensure records are accurately retained. Strong communication and detail orientation are essential; bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2+ years of customer-facing work preferred.
• Desirable ICC Permit Technician Certification; familiarity with construction codes helpful.
• Experience with Accela permit tracking software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, and process applications, codes, plans, and related documents.
• Perform QC reviews to ensure plan submittals are complete and accurate.
• Verify permit fees for accuracy prior to issuance.
• Serve as records retention specialist and respond to public records requests.
• Handle minor plan reviews and respond to related inquiries.
