Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years of responsible experience in processing building permits, land use, planning or code enforcement.
• A strong background in plan review and construction technology is required.
• Possession of ICC certification within six months after appointment and ICC certification in Zoning and Residential & Commercial, Building & Mechanical Plans Examiner within one year.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, and review the work of Permit Customer Service Technicians.
• Establish schedules and methods for permit approval services; allocate resources accordingly.
• Coordinate and track permit issuance, construction, and approvals with other divisions.
• Prepare analytical and statistical reports on permits, construction operations, and inspections.
• Supervise preparation of case reports for court or administrative proceedings.
