Job summary

The Village of Orland Park seeks a Senior Engineer to conduct engineering plan reviews for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments and to implement transportation, storm water, and development plans in accordance with Village codes.

The role requires 3–5 years of related experience, a Civil Engineering degree (ABET), IL PE license, and strong communication and leadership skills. The position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (ABET).
• PE license in Illinois required.
• 3–5 years of progressively responsible engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate reviews with county, state and local agencies for development projects.
• Prepare RFQ/RFP/ITB documents for transportation and infrastructure projects.
• Manage capital improvement projects and monitor budgets and schedules.
• Provide presentations and staff reports for meetings.
