Job summary

Loudoun County Government is seeking a skilled Customer Service Supervisor to join the Permits Issuance Division. You will lead a team of Permit Technicians handling high-volume call center operations, online inquiries, and in-person counter service for building, trade, and zoning permits.

You’ll develop staff through training, ensure compliance with policies, and collaborate across departments to deliver timely, accurate customer service while advancing process improvements in a dynamic local

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 5 years related work experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in local government or comparable environment desirable.
• Ability to manage demanding customers and diffuse difficult interactions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise permit technician team and manage workloads.
• Ensure high-volume customer service via online, phone, and walk-in channels.
• Ensure compliance with policies for building, trade, and zoning permits.
• Learn Loudoun County Permitting process and advise on permit lifecycle.
• Collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders.
• Provide training and development to staff and maintain certifications.
