Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Permit Project Coordinator for a 1-year contract to manage permitting for renewable energy facilities. You will work with AHJs to obtain permits across multiple jurisdictions, including solar, wind, and battery storage projects, with occasional site travel.

You will report to the onsite manager and coordinate with engineering, construction, and project management teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in permitting or regulatory compliance within a corporate setting.
• Experience with renewable energy projects or electrical infrastructure permitting.
• Understanding of building codes and permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of permit applications and communications.
• Attend pre-application meetings with regulatory agencies.

Job description

We’re looking for a Permit Project Coordinator on behalf of our client. This is a 1‑year contract assignment, W‑2 position. You will manage and facilitate the permitting process for building renewable energy facilities, working directly with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to obtain permits necessary for construction and operation. Renewable energy facilities include solar, wind, battery energy storage, and associated transmission and substation infrastructure.

Travel to project sites and regulatory offices may be required occasionally. You will report to the onsite manager.

Location: Juno Beach, FL 33408

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage permit applications for renewable energy construction projects across multiple jurisdictions
• Develop and maintain relationships with local AHJs to facilitate the permitting process

Qualifications

Salary range: $47.00/hr to $52.00/hr (dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills).
