Job summary

Berkeys Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electrical in Southlake, TX, is seeking a highly organized Permit Coordinator to keep HVAC, plumbing and electrical projects on schedule. The role involves coordinating permits, inspections, and approvals with municipalities and internal teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One or more years of administrative, permitting, project coordination, construction, dispatch, or customer service experience preferred.
• Previous permitting experience in Texas is highly preferred.
• Experience with municipalities, inspection departments, or HOAs is a plus.
• HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Construction, or Home Services experience is highly desirable.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to quickly learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit, and track permit applications for residential and commercial projects.
• Coordinate with city permitting offices, municipalities, inspectors, and homeowners' associations.
• Schedule inspections and monitor permit and inspection status.
• Maintain accurate permit records and project documentation.
• Follow up on outstanding permits, inspections, and approvals to minimize project delays.
• Research permitting requirements, forms, and jurisdictional regulations.
• Communicate permit updates and project status with Operations, Sales, Dispatch, and field teams.
• Review job documentation for completeness and accuracy before permit submission.
• Support administrative projects and process improvements within the Operations team.
