Job summary

Jobtailor in Henderson, NV is seeking a Permitting Coordinator to gather and document permitting requirements, support agency relationships, and coordinate deliverables with internal and external engineering teams.

You will create and maintain permitting schedules, QC checklists, and submittal packages, communicate status updates, and assist with invoices and make-ready coordination, using GIS and MS Office.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in permitting, right-of-way administration, or utility/telecom construction support.
  • Working familiarity with GIS or mapping software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills to track multiple permits and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Preferred exposure to right-of-way, railroad, DOT, or municipal permitting workflows.
  • Familiarity with pole attachment licensing and make-ready coordination.
  • Experience with fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) or FTTP deployment projects.
  • Familiarity with Quickbase, Vetro, or Omnia.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and document permitting requirements for each entity and project.
  • Support relationships with permitting agencies.
  • Coordinate permitting deliverables with internal and external engineering teams.
  • Create and maintain permitting schedules, trackers, permit lists, maps, and spreadsheets.
  • Apply permitting QC checklists to submittals.
  • Communicate with agencies about status updates and projected approval dates.
  • Follow up with agencies to advance permits through approval.
  • Prepare permitting packages, applications, and supporting documentation for review.
  • Submit approved permitting packages to agencies.
  • Coordinate with field teams and the engineering firm to gather missing information.
  • Flag rejections and document details for root-cause review.
  • Provide status updates to the Permitting Manager.
  • Assist with invoice processing and pole tallies for payment coordination.
  • Assist with make-ready estimates and pole application submittals.
  • Support grant-program reporting with permitting activity details.
  • Distribute licenses and approvals to field teams.
  • Confirm construction completion with permitting agencies.
  • Assemble and archive permit closeout documentation.
